北海道新幹線は1954年の洞爺丸台風による1400余名の尊い命の犠牲の上にあること、ＪＲ北海道が北海道新幹線の営業を順調に続けるには、安全を第一であること至上命令としたうえで青函トンネルのメンテナンスや冬期の厳しい気候条件克服のためのコストを吸収しJ黒字を計上できるかが問われていること。そして
If the extension of the shinkansen service to Hokkaido can generate a new flow of people and create an economic sphere in northern Japan, its impact will be much more than just symbolic.
二番目の題材；人口知能ＡＩは今回囲碁の世界でプロを圧倒する力を誇示したが、それは将来人類の生活に大きな便宜をもたらす可能性があることを示す反面、その活用によっては悪い方向にも発達する可能性を秘めており、節度を持って開発することが問われているという重要な気づきを教えてくれた。
It will be all the more important to study what concrete benefits AI will bring to people and society from various angles and be fully prepared to prevent the emergence of adverse effects.
